Prof. Dr. phil. Dr.-Ing. Birgit Spanner-Ulmer

Prof. Dr. phil. Dr.-Ing. Birgit Spanner-Ulmer is affiliated with the Technical University of Munich's Mechanical Engineering department. She holds a professorship in Production and Technology in the Media Sector and is currently on leave of absence from TUM, serving as director of production and technology at Bayerischer Rundfunk. Her work involves television and radio production, broadcast technology, distribution, and planning. She focuses on the optimization of interactions between people, technology, and organizations in change processes and trimedial working environments. Prof. Spanner-Ulmer studied engineering management at TU Karlsruhe and obtained her doctorate from TUM. She also completed her postdoctoral teaching qualification at the Catholic University of Eichstätt and Ingolstadt.
