Prof. Dr. Bing Zhu is a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Munich. Her research focuses on real estate development, with an emphasis on market mechanisms, development methods, and implementation models. Her work explores real estate finance, applying corporate finance theory and asset pricing models to real estate investments. She also investigates sustainable real estate, commercial real estate markets, housing bubbles, and mortgage and monetary policy. Zhu studied construction management in China and earned her doctorate in real estate economics from EBS University of Business and Law in 2011. Prior to joining TUM in 2019, she worked as a lecturer at the University of Regensburg, the University, of Cambridge, and the University of Reading, where she completed her teaching qualification (Habilitation) in 2018.
