Regular biography
Prof. Nam-Gyu Kang is a Professor in the School of Mathematics at the Korea Institute for Advanced Study. He has held various positions including Affiliate Professor at KAIST, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor at Seoul National University. Prof. Kang has also served as an Olga Taussky - John Todd Instructor at Caltech and a C.L.E. Moore Instructor at M.I.T. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Yale University under the supervision of Prof. Peter W. Jones. Prof. Kang is involved in editorial work for several mathematical publications and has held leadership roles at KIAS.
