Regular biography
Shin, Seokmin is a professor in the Department of Chemistry at Seoul National University. His research focuses on theoretical and computational chemistry, particularly in understanding the properties and changes of materials at the molecular level. His work involves developing theoretical frameworks and computational methods for quantum dynamics of complex molecular systems, as well as applying computer simulations to study nano-materials, chemical reactions in condensed matter, self-assembly at surfaces/interfaces, and functional mechanisms of biological molecules. He has published extensively in journals such as the Journal of Physical Chemistry and has contributed to research on topics including protein folding, amyloid fibril formation, and quantum computing applications.
