Dr Nathaniel Bawden is a Research Fellow in the School of Mathematics and Physics at The University of Queensland. His research focuses on quantum science, with an emphasis on optomechanical systems and fiber lasers. He is an affiliate of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems (EQUS). Dr Bawden has contributed to various publications and conference proceedings, including work on silicon-photonic optomechanical magnetometers, precision optomechanical accelerometers, and mid-infrared fiber lasers. His research explores advanced photonic technologies and their applications in sensing and communication.
