Dr David Morrisset

Dr David Morrisset is a Lecturer in Fire Safety Engineering at the School of Civil Engineering, The University of Queensland. He joined the university in November 2024. Prior to his appointment, Dr Morrisset completed his PhD in Fire Safety Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. His research interests include fire safety and combustion science, with a focus on material flammability, fire testing, fire performance of timber, lithium-ion batteries, combustible cladding, and advanced measurement techniques. He has also worked as a fire safety engineer in both the United States and Australia. Dr Morrisset's research has been published in several journals and conference proceedings.
