Dr Jurij Karlovsek is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Civil Engineering at The University of Queensland. His research interests include Geotechnical and Underground Engineering, with a focus on sustainable infrastructure development, geotechnical resilience, and digital engineering. He is known for his work in Building Information Modelling (BIM) in tunnelling, non-destructive testing, and spatial analysis technologies such as Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), LiDAR, and InSAR. Dr Karlovsek leads multidisciplinary research and teaching initiatives and serves as the course coordinator for CIVL2210, CIVL4525, and CIVL6250.
