James Thaventhiran is a Fellow at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the School of Biological Sciences. His research focuses on adaptive immunity, immunogenetics, and immunotherapy. Thaventhiran investigates how adaptive immune lymphocytes evade anti-proliferative signals from inflammation. His work incorporates techniques such as preclinical models, human phenotyping, single cell RNA sequencing, and next generation sequencing. He serves as a Theme Lead for Molecules and Cells: The Building Blocks of Life within the MRC Toxicology Unit and the Department of Biochemistry.
