Regular biography
Tim Morris is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computer Science at The University of Manchester. His research focuses on real-time video processing, texture measurement, and image segmentation. He works within the Advanced Interfaces / Computer Vision Research Group and has supervised multiple postgraduate students. His research has applications in intelligent assistants, video-mediated communication, and medical image interpretation. Morris has authored two textbooks and has been involved in various research projects, including those related to sustainable development goals. He is a member of the IEEE and has contributed to technical committees on multimedia computing and pattern analysis.
