Joseph Miller

Joseph Miller is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Stanford University. He joined the department in the 2024-25 academic year and is teaching Math 171 this Autumn Quarter and Math 51 in the Spring Quarter. Miller completed his PhD at The University of Texas at Austin in 2024. His research focuses on the mathematical aspects of classical and quantum statistical physics, particularly the approximation of many-body dynamics using effective nonlinear PDEs such as the Boltzmann equation, the Vlasov equation, and the Schrödinger equation.
