Regular biography
Mohammed Abouzaid is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Stanford University. His research focuses on structures and applications in Floer theory on symplectic manifolds. He joined Stanford's mathematics department in 2023 and currently teaches Topics in Symplectic Geometry. Abouzaid completed his PhD at the University of Chicago in 2007 and has been recognized with awards such as the Invited ICM Lecture (2014) and New Horizons Prize (2017). His research areas include geometry, symplectic geometry, and topology.
