About
Regular biography

Marion MacFarlane is a Fellow at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the School of Biological Sciences. Her research focuses on molecular mechanisms of cell death, human diseases, multiprotein signalling complexes, and drug-induced mitochondrial toxicity. As Deputy Director and Group Leader at the MRC Toxicology Unit, she investigates the fundamental mechanisms of cell death that regulate life/death decisions at the cellular level. Her work employs techniques such as in vitro reconstituted models, proteomics, and 3D tumour models to explore these biological processes.
