About
Regular biography

Torsten Krude is a Fellow at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the School of Biological Sciences and the Department of Zoology. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms by which small non-coding Y RNAs function during the initiation of DNA replication in vertebrate cells. The group also investigates the roles of functionally equivalent RNAs in non-vertebrate organisms and the specification and activation of DNA replication origins on the human genome. His work employs techniques such as confocal microscopy, cell fractionation, and next-generation DNA sequencing.
