Regular biography
Yoshihide Yoshimoto is a professor at The University of Tokyo, Department of CS. His research focuses on computational science, parallel simulation software, especially first-principles electronic structure calculation. He has developed and made public a first-principles electronic structure calculation program package called xTAPP. Additionally, he has been involved in the management and planning of a supercomputer system for nearly ten years. His laboratory aims to contribute to the interplay between computational science and computer science through education and research.
