Yaozhong Zhang

Yaozhong Zhang is an associate professor at the Division of Health Medical Intelligence, Human Genome Center, Institute of Medical Science, The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on health and aging-related topics using large omics data. His work involves developing deep learning models for genomic data analysis, bioinformatics for long read sequencing, and genomic profiles/representations. Zhang's research aims to address real-world healthcare challenges through advanced AI techniques. He leads projects in areas such as phage-host interaction identification, tissue-specific cell type annotation, and drug-target prediction. His group seeks self-motivated PhD students and postdocs.
