Regular biography
Tetsuo Shibuya is a professor at The University of Tokyo, affiliated with the Department of Computer Science, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology. He is also associated with the Division of Medical Data Informatics, Human Genome Center, Institute of Medical Science, at the same university. His research focuses on algorithms in computational biology, bioinformatics, and related areas such as indexing/searching algorithms for bio-big data, artificial intelligence for bio-big data, and privacy-preserving computation. His work includes applications to clinical sequencing and molecular biology.
