SASAKI Jun

Jun SASAKI is a Professor at The University of Tokyo, Department of CE. His research focuses on estuarine and coastal environment, coastal zone management, numerical prediction of biogeochemical processes, environmental restoration, and blue carbon. His laboratory, the Estuarine and Coastal Environment Laboratory, engages in studies related to coastal engineering, environmental hydraulics, and marine biogeochemical processes. The lab also explores sustainability science in coastal areas of developing countries. Research activities include field inspections, habitat creation projects, and coral reef monitoring. The lab aims to publish research results in international journals and collaborates on initiatives such as the Public-Private Cooperation Forum for Tokyo-Bay Restoration.
