Regular biography

Dr Mircea Voineagu is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematics & Statistics at The University of New South Wales. His research interests include (co)homological invariants associated with complex and real algebraic varieties, particularly motivic and Lawson cohomology, Semi-topological K-theory, and Bredon motivic cohomology. His work explores the properties of smooth algebraic varieties through these invariants, with recent focus on applications and extensions of Milnor’s conjecture and Suslin’s conjectures. Dr Voineagu has contributed to various publications in mathematics and related fields, including journals such as the Journal of Pure and Applied Algebra, Bioinformatics, and the Transactions of the American Mathematical Society.
