Dino Giussani
Regular biography
Dino Giussani is a Fellow at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the School of Biological Sciences. His research focuses on Reproduction, Pregnancy, Fetus, Developmental Programming, Cardiovascular, and related areas. His lab investigates how adverse pregnancy conditions can increase the risk of heart disease in offspring. His work employs techniques such as in vivo cardiovascular physiology, isolated Langendorff preparation, echocardiography, in vitro wire myography, and stereology. His research areas include developmental programming of neurodegenerative diseases, arrhythmogenesis, and the reproductive axis, as well as the molecular basis of carotid body oxygen and glucose sensing in fetal life.
