Dr Mareike Dressler is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at The University of New South Wales. She joined UNSW Sydney in 2022 as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor, tenure-track) following postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences and the University of California, San Diego. Her research interests include Real and Computational Algebraic Geometry, Polynomial and Convex Optimization, and applications in Data Science and Machine Learning.
