Regular biography

Peter Brown is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematics & Statistics at The University of New South Wales. His research interests include Number Theory and the History of Mathematics. He has contributed to various academic publications, including works on quartic diophantine equations, elliptic curves, and the Möbius function. Brown has also been recognized for his teaching, receiving the Vice Chancellor's Teaching Award in 2009 and the Science Faculty Lecturer of the Year in 2016. He is involved in casual tutoring for first and second-year pure mathematics courses.
