Isabella Dobrescu Head, School of Economics opens in a new window

Professor Isabella Dobrescu Head, School of Economics, is a faculty member at The University of New South Wales, where she is affiliated with the ECON department. Her research interests include labour, public finance, health, and applied econometrics. She has focused on consumption and saving dynamics, risk-taking, and cognition through nonparametric partial identification methods. Recently, she has combined theory, empirical analysis, and randomized controlled trials to design interventions improving educational outcomes using technology. She is also the Head of the School of Economics, co-chair of the STEP UP initiative in Education, and an editor of the Journal of Pension Economics & Finance.
