Dr. Natalie J. Rijs is a distinguished researcher in the field of organometallic chemistry and gas-phase reactivity. Her work focuses on understanding the structure, reactivity, and mechanisms of organometallic ions, particularly those involving copper, silver, and gold. She has made significant contributions to the study of organocuprates, organoargentates, and organoauroates, including their synthesis, reactivity, and applications in organic synthesis. Dr. Rijs has also explored the role of transition metal complexes in CO₂ activation and other catalytic processes.
