Regular biography
Walter Federle is a Fellow at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the School of Biological Sciences. His research focuses on functional morphology, biomechanics, biomimetics, bio-adhesion, and insect-plant interactions. Federle's work explores the functional morphology and biomechanics of insects, surface attachment mechanisms in animals, and interactions between insects and plants. His research employs techniques such as force measurements, locomotion analysis, microscopy, and mathematical modeling. He is a Reader in Comparative Biomechanics within the Department of Zoology.
