Regular biography
Dr Benjamin Laws is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Chemistry at The University of New South Wales. He joined UNSW in 2020 after spending six years at the Australian National University as both a Postdoctoral Fellow and PhD student. His research focuses on studying radicals and ions in the gas phase using laser spectroscopic techniques such as velocity map imaging and resonantly enhanced multi-photon ionization. His work explores reactive and transient species relevant to atmospheric, combustion, and interstellar processes. Laws' research interests include astrochemistry and negative ions, with a focus on understanding molecular structures and reactivity in extreme environments.
