Jadranka Nappi

Dr Jadranka Nappi is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Marine Science & Innovation, The University of New South Wales, within the School of Biological, Earth & Environmental Sciences. Her research focuses on marine microbiology and ecology, particularly bacterial-seaweed interactions and the ecological roles of antibiotic-producing bacteria. She holds a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of New South Wales, supervised by Associate Professor Suhelen Egan. Dr Nappi's work includes the use of bioinformatic tools and molecular approaches to analyze microbial communities associated with marine samples. She is also involved in projects related to the engineering of Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942.
