Heather Haines

Dr Heather Haines is a Research Associate at the Earth & Sustainability Science Research Centre, affiliated with the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences at The University of New South Wales. Her research focuses on dendrochronology, particularly with threatened Australian tree species, and their relationship to fire and climate variability. She also investigates past climates in tropical environments using radiocarbon dating and other methods. Her work includes projects on hydroclimate variability and the ecological relationships of non-traditional tree species in dendrochronology.
