Regular biography
Gabriel Abramowitz is an Associate Professor at The University of New South Wales, affiliated with the Climate Change Research Centre in the BIO department. His research focuses on models of natural systems, particularly in the evaluation, benchmarking, and uncertainty assessment of climate, hydrology, and ecology models. He is a Chief Investigator with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes and leads the development of modelevaluation.org, a web application for model evaluation and benchmarking. His work includes land surface model benchmarking and model dependence assessment in multi-model ensemble climate prediction. Abramowitz is also a member of the GEWEX Global Land-Atmosphere System Study panel and the management committee for the CABLE model.
