Benjamin Shaw is an Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences at The University of New South Wales. His research focuses on archaeological studies in Papua New Guinea, including human settlement patterns, cultural practices, and exchange networks. Dr. Shaw has contributed to numerous publications on topics such as the archaeology of the Massim Island Region, trace element analysis in human diet, and the impact of environmental changes on human behavior. His work has been featured in journals such as Australian Archaeology, Nature Ecology and Evolution, and Quaternary Science Reviews.
