Scott K. Cushing

Scott Cushing is a researcher at Caltech whose work focuses on plasmon-enhanced solar energy conversion and photocatalytic processes. His research explores the use of plasmonic materials to enhance energy transfer and improve the efficiency of solar hydrogen generation. Cushing's studies involve the development of nanoscale p–n junctions and hybrid nanostructures, such as CdS-Au-TiO2 sandwich nanorod arrays, to facilitate efficient solar water splitting. His work also includes the investigation of plasmonic nanomaterials for surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and optical sensing applications.
