Shelton Peiris is a Professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Sydney. His research areas include statistical theory, probability and stochastic processes, econometrics, and financial mathematics. He is also involved in mathematical education. His work focuses on the statistical analysis of time series data, estimating functions, financial time series modelling, and saddlepoint and Edgeworth approximations.
