Norman Dancer is an Emeritus Professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Sydney. His research interests include nonlinear analysis, particularly degree theory, Morse theory, and Conley index, with applications to nonlinear ordinary and partial differential equations, including singular perturbations and bifurcation theory. He is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of a book publishing program in mathematics launched jointly by de Gruyter and Versita, focused on Central and Eastern Europe.
