Hendrik W. Lenstra, Jr., is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on Algebra and Applied Mathematics. He was appointed to his position in 1986 and retired in 2003. Lenstra has supervised numerous PhD dissertations, including works on topics such as rational points on K3 surfaces, quadratic forms, and elliptic curves.
