Jianbo Li
Regular biography
Dr Jianbo Li is a researcher at The University of Sydney, affiliated with the BIO department. His research interests include crop and pasture production, genetics, plant biology, gene mapping, crop and pasture protection, and agricultural biotechnology. Li holds a BSc, MSc, and PhD, with his MSc in Crop Genetics and Breeding from Shanxi University, China, and his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. His PhD research focused on identifying wheat-wild species introgression lines with desirable agronomic traits using molecular cytogenetic techniques. He was appointed as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Cytogenetics at the University of Sydney in 2021 as part of the 'Hybrid wheat for food security' project.
