Jennifer Potts is a Professor at The University of Sydney, affiliated with the BIO department. Her research focuses on structural biology, including macromolecular modelling, biochemistry, and cell biology. She completed her BSc (with First Class Honours and University Medal) and PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Sydney. She was awarded an NH&MRC C.J. Martin Fellowship for postdoctoral work at the University of Oxford, where she remained for 13 years. In 2005, she moved to a 40 th Anniversary Readership at the University of York, later becoming Chair of Molecular Biophysics and Head of Department. From Jan 2020 to Jan 2026, she was Head of the School of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Sydney. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and of the Royal Society of NSW.
