Jacky Stoeckli

Dr Jacky Stoeckli is a researcher at The University of Sydney, affiliated with the BIO department. Her research interests include genomics, systems biology, protein trafficking, signal transduction, biochemistry and cell biology, cell metabolism, metabolic medicine, proteomics and intermolecular interactions, and genome structure and regulation. Dr Stoeckli obtained her PhD from the University of Basel in 2003, where she studied protein trafficking and trafficking signals. In 2004, she joined Prof David James' group at the Garvan Institute in Sydney, focusing on insulin-regulated protein trafficking, particularly GLUT4 and vesicle trafficking proteins such as Rabs and RabGAPs. In 2015, she was appointed as a Research Fellow at the Charles Perkins Centre and the School of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Sydney. Her group, "Molecular Cell Biology," within the larger James lab, focuses on the insulin regulation of lipolysis.
