Robert Bryant is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on Geometry/Topology, with particular interests in nonlinear partial differential equations, differential geometry, exterior differential systems, algebraic geometry, and Finsler geometry. Bryant was appointed to his position in 2007 and retired in 2013. He has authored several publications, including works on geodesically reversible Finsler 2-spheres and G_2-structures.
