Alyson Ashe is an Associate Professor in the Department of BIO at The University of Sydney. Her research focuses on epigenetics, including genome methylation and epigenomics, as well as genetics. She employs genetic engineering, microscopy, bioinformatics, and structural biology techniques to study epigenetic gene regulation across species. Ashe completed her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics at the University of Sydney and her PhD at the University of Sydney and the Queensland Institute of Medical Research under Prof Emma Whitelaw. She later worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at The Gurdon Institute in Cambridge, UK, before returning to The University of Sydney.
