Richard E. Borcherds

Richard E. Borcherds is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on Algebra, with specific interests in Lie algebras, Vertex algebras, and Automorphic forms. Borcherds has supervised numerous PhD dissertations, including works on topics such as modular forms, conformal field theory, and lattices. His publications include contributions to quantum vertex algebras, classification of positive definite lattices, and reflection groups of Lorentzian lattices.
