Stark Draper

Stark Draper is a Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto. His research interests include information theory, optimization, error-correction coding, security, and their applications to communications, computing, and learning. Draper has held academic, industrial, and consulting roles with various organizations, including Arraycomm Inc., Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs, UC Berkeley, and UW-Madison. He leads research collaborations with companies such as Huawei Technologies, Disney Research, and Bell Labs. Draper has also spent time on sabbatical at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford, along with a B.A. in History from Stanford.
