Regular biography
James Gleason is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at McGill University. His research focuses on organic chemistry, including synthetic methods development, total synthesis of natural products, and medicinal chemistry. His work involves creating new synthetic techniques and applying them to the synthesis of complex natural products and the development of hybrid drugs with potential therapeutic applications. He teaches courses such as Structural Organic Chemistry and Reaction Mechanisms in Organic Chemistry. His lab is located in Otto Mass 300, and he can be contacted at Jim.Gleason [at] McGill.ca.
