Regular biography

Ji Tae Kim is a Faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at KAIST. His research focuses on Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on nanoscale additive manufacturing (3D printing) for electronics, photonics, and quantum science. The Kim Lab @ KAIST aims to advance 3D printing technology into a real-manufacturing platform for next-generation electronic, photonic, and quantum integrated circuits. The lab is currently working on developing new paradigm 3D printing methods to address challenges such as coarse precision, limited material selection, and low throughput. Kim is also involved in government-funded projects related to 3D printing technology for circuit integration and quantum dot production.
