Sunghyun Choi is a Faculty member in the School of Electrical Engineering at KAIST. Their research focuses on AI-native networking, autonomous network systems, and next-generation communication infrastructure. Choi leads the AI-Native Networking Lab (AINL) and is an IEEE Fellow. Sunghyun Choi, Ph.D., IEEE Fellow, is a professor at KAIST with expertise in AI-native networking. His research focuses on enhancing wireless communication systems through advanced protocols and algorithms. Choi's work includes the analysis and optimization of IEEE 802.11 standards for quality of service, link adaptation, and collision avoidance. He has contributed to the development of dynamic frequency and channel selection schemes, as well as energy-efficient transmission strategies for IEEE 802.11 a/h and 802.11 ah. His research also explores ultrareliable and low-latency communication techniques for tactile internet services and aerial acoustic communication for smart devices.
