Regular biography
Minsoo Rhu is a Faculty member in the School of Electrical Engineering at KAIST, affiliated with the Department of Semiconductor System Engineering, Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Graduate School of AI Semiconductor. His research focuses on computer architecture with a vertically integrated approach, aiming to build high-performance computing platforms for future intelligent systems. Prof. Rhu leads the VIA Research Group, which conducts research in VLSI technology, computer system architecture, and application & algorithms. He has been appointed as the KAIST Endowed Chair Professor and has received the 2025 KAIST College of Engineering Impact Research Award. Additionally, he was recognized with the Best Teaching Award for EE312: Introduction to Computer Architecture.
