Iksung Kang

Iksung Kang is a Faculty member at the School of Electrical Engineering, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He joined KAIST EE in January 2026 as an Assistant Professor, leading the Kang Imaging Group. His research focuses on developing intelligent imaging systems that integrate physical principles, computation, and system-level design. Kang previously worked as a postdoctoral fellow at UC Berkeley and earned his PhD from MIT EECS. His work has been published in prestigious journals such as Nature Methods and Nature Machine Intelligence. He is also affiliated with the PICORE (광학 인공지능) Center at KAIST.
