Hyun Myung

Hyun Myung is a Faculty member in the School of Electrical Engineering at KAIST. His research focuses on Robotics Technologies for Smart Cities, with an emphasis on autonomous navigation and urban robotics. He leads the Urban Robotics Lab, where projects include the development of advanced robotic systems such as DreamWaQ and CAROS-H, which have been featured in media outlets like CNN. Prof. Myung has received recognition for his research, including the KAIST Research Grand Prize in 2026 and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and ICT Award for his team's work on a small quadrupedal robot. His work has been published in top-tier conferences and journals, including IEEE RA-L and CVPR.
