Sarada Sarma is an Emeritus Reader in Engineering Seismology at Imperial College London, Department of Civil Engineering. Her research focuses on engineering seismology, with particular emphasis on seismic design of earth dams and embankments, foundations and retaining walls. She is internationally recognized for her slope analysis methods, known as the Sarma Methods, and for her expertise in seismic hazard analysis of engineering sites. Her work contributes significantly to the field of geotechnical earthquake engineering.
