Chih-Jen Shih

Chih-Jen Shih is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at ETH Zurich, specializing in Surface Force, Organic Semiconductors, Nanopatterning, and Nanoscale optoelectronics. His research focuses on the development and characterization of advanced materials, including perovskite nanocrystals, graphene, and two-dimensional materials. His work explores the synthesis, stability, and optoelectronic properties of these materials, with applications in optoelectronics and nanotechnology. Shih's research also investigates the interplay between surface chemistry and material behavior, such as the pH-dependent properties of graphene oxide and the wetting transparency of graphene. His studies aim to enhance the performance and durability of nanomaterials for next-generation electronic and optoelectronic devices.
