Zoë Holmes

Zoë Holmes is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Department of PHY at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. She is affiliated with the Laboratory of Quantum Information and Computation and teaches courses such as Quantum Information Theory and Quantum Physics II. Zoe Holmes is an Assistant Professor at EPFL, specializing in Quantum Information, Quantum Computing, and Quantum Thermodynamics. She investigates quantum algorithms for high-energy physics, quantum simulation, and the classical simulability of quantum systems. Holmes also examines the implications of quantum machine learning, such as quantum convolutional neural networks and quantum extreme learning machines. Her work addresses fundamental aspects of quantum dynamics, noiseless quantum circuits, and the generalization of quantum models.
