Regular biography
Harald Brune is a Full Professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the Laboratory of Nanostructures at Surfaces. His research focuses on nanostructure arrays, epitaxial metal growth, and magnetic anisotropy of single atoms and nanoparticles. He has contributed to significant publications in journals such as Nature, Science, and PNAS. Brune is also involved in teaching solid-state physics and supervising PhD students within the Physics doctoral program at EPFL.
